Community allotments rooted in Tangmere
Growing food, friendship, and local legacy.
Tangmere Growers is a community allotment group based in the village of Tangmere, West Sussex, bringing together residents through sustainable growing, shared knowledge, and a connection to nature.
More than plots
A place for wellbeing, biodiversity, and community spirit.
Our allotments are more than plots of land. They are spaces for wellbeing, biodiversity, food production, and community spirit, continuing a tradition that has supported local people for generations.
Through shared knowledge and practical growing, Tangmere Growers helps residents stay connected to the land, to nature, and to one another.
Tangmere roots
Cultivating land with a sense of place.
Tangmere's story carries both village growing and RAF heritage. The Tangmere Growers emblem brings those strands together with soil, flowers, hills, and an aircraft above the landscape.
The site should feel like that same meeting point: practical allotment life, care for nature, and pride in the history that shaped the village.
